The pro shop was largely expanded to showcase product and increase sales. A lunch counter was also added to help revenue, and includes a dining area with access to the balcony. The clubhouse is picturesque nestled into the hillside of the golf course and is a great addition to the community.
Birch creek golf course is located in the foothills of Smithfield, Utah. The original club house was designed in the early 1960’s and had become too small and crowded. The owners wanted a new club house that would expand their business and take advantage of the beautiful panoramic views. Plans were made to demolish the old clubhouse and to build on the same location.
At the entrance a welded metal ceiling light with stained glass was custom designed to set the tone of the space, with an accompanying arts and crafts tile pattern on the floor.
The new banquet hall was included to accommodate tournaments and also can be rented out to the community. The arts and crafts theme from the entrance is carried into the pendant lights and the woodwork around the fireplace. Large windows overlook the valley and golf course, and the clearstory windows around the perimeter of the room bring in light from every angle. With its balcony access to fantastic views of the surrounding area, it has become a favorite venue for wedding receptions and business parties.
